We, Global Risk Management (GRM) a leading provider of customised energy price risk hedging solutions, are looking for a Junior Oil Trader to join our growing team.
An established company in rapid growth
GRM combines its in-depth knowledge of the energy markets, finance, and transport to guide and help our clients with customised energy price hedging solutions. We have been in the business for almost 20 years with offices in Denmark, Singapore, and Houston. Our Unitrading division engages in market making towards our clients and facilitates trading around the physical assets of the USTC group.
When joining GRM, you will be working in a multi-cultural group that has seen rapid expansion in the last year. You will become part of an internationally diverse team, which is situated in our Copenhagen office, and you will enter a fast-paced work environment where no two days are the same.
As a junior trader, you will be part of an established highly qualified oil trading desk, within a company that has access to an extensive client base and physical assets. You will be supporting the Traders in their day-to-day trading activities as well as assisting the development of new trading systems and contributing to optimizing risk management- and trading processes.
Your responsibilities in this role will also be to:
- Maintain that price curves are always in line.
- Price and hedge internal flow.
- Being diligent with a high attention to detail in position keeping.
- Contribute to developing new proprietary trading strategies by engaging in market analysis.
- Perform market analysis of oil and oil products
A profile with willingness to learn and develop
You possess a bachelor or preferably a master’s degree in finance, engineering, mathematics, or a relevant discipline. You would thrive in a fast-paced work environment and in a role requiring critical thinking. As a person you like to develop and have the willingness to learn. Furthermore, you are positive and find energy in obtaining results together with the rest of our dynamic team.

- Proactively approach all aspects of work, possess strong problem-solving skills and being able to multitask.
- Possess high numerical and analytical skills.
- Have a strong interest in trading and energy markets specifically.
- Possess programming skills is a plus.
