In his session, “The Middle East crisis: Implications for gas and CO₂ prices”, Arne highlighted how disruptions to LNG flows through the Strait of Hormuz could increasingly impact gas prices over time, particularly as Europe faces the need to secure significantly more supply following a winter with low storage levels.
He emphasized that the timing of the disruption is critical, with prolonged constraints potentially amplifying market effects across the region.
